The Murder of Anthony Thomas - AR experience

My final university piece for the Bachelor of Communications (Media) at RMIT. 

 

Exploring how new media will impact upon the way we currently consume entertainment and tell stories, The Murder of Anthony Thomas asks users to explore a physical space and scan evidence and markers with their phones to uncover screenshots of texts, letters, audio clips, 3D models and more to help them figure out who killed Anthony Thomas? This merges known forms of media such as escape rooms, video games and traditional drama, and places the consumer into the story by giving them agency and allowing them to determine how and in what order the story is told depending on how they choose to interact with the environment.
